Leap into the world of high performance pistons with  D.S.S. Racing's GSX Series.  Great care has been taken to reduce the piston weight by adding CNC milling in non-critical areas, and even larger and deeper CNC valve reliefs allow more aggressive cylinder head and cam combinations.

All GSX Series pistons have the patented 'X Groove' skirt as a standard feature.  The groundbreaking X-shaped groove sweeps excess fuel and foreign matter in the oil drainback holes on the downstroke and into the side relief on the upstroke.  This sweeping effect keeps the debris from getting trapped between the piston skirt and the cylinder wall, where it would normally cause scoring damage.  With exoct fuels, blowers, Turbos and NOS running at today's power levels, ultra rich mixtures are required and commonplace.  The X Groove combats the damaging effects of these applications, improves ring seal, cylinder wall condition and piston skirt condition. 

The X Groove is a major breakthrough in the racing world.
